Practices: Practices are held at Lyndale on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 -7:00. Please do NOT have your child to practice earlier than 5-10 minutes -have your player ready to go for practice with ALL the practice equipment and a drink at 5:30. Players miss practices, but to play games players must attend practices. If your player is going to be gone, please send your coach a team snap message as a heads up. Practices end at 7:00 -please be prompt at picking up your player -everyone wants to get home. * Also please make sure your player is going home with who they should be -we don't want parents not knowing where their kids are*
Games: The game schedule has not been finalized yet, but we will provide it to you as soon as we have it available. Parents are responsible for travel arrangements and getting your Player and their equipment for the games. Games are primarily on Saturday mornings, but there may be games on weeknights. Games will be played in Williston, Fairview, Stanley, Alexander and possibly Glendive and Miles City.
Butter Braid Fund raiser: As a club we do ONE fund raiser - the proceeds are used for maintaining current equipment and purchasing new equipment. We've been able to purchase a Sled and new Uniforms! Butter Braids are yummy and are a great seller -you can choose paper ordering, use the on line store or a combination of both. We ask that players sell a minimum of 10 butter braids -there are cash prizes for the top 3 sellers.
Welcome to the 2024 season!
The Sidney AAU Program is a volunteer run program that welcomes both Boys and Girls from the surrounding areas to come and learn the game of tackle football. Our Program strives to teach sound fundamental football to prepare players as they move on to the middle and high school levels, heads up tackling technique and proper blocking.
As a program we are always looking for volunteers to help coach teams, help with practices, run chain gang for games, score board, etc. The program is always in need of referees so if you are interested in helping in any of these areas, please reach out to a current coach or Program Administrator, Loren Kutzler.
Registration Fees and AAU Cards must be paid before a player can practice. No refunds will be issued for any reason. The Registration fee does NOT include the AAU card anymore -Parents/Guardians are responsible for getting the AAU card on their own and bringing a copy to the first practice or e-mailing Mandy a copy to mandyloren@midrivers.com * I can't register the club until 8/15 so please DO NOT get your AAU card until 8/16 -then you can attach player to our Club)
Equipment Provided: Certified Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Football Pants, Game Day Jersey
Equipment needed by the Players: Mouth Guards -the club does sell some for $5.00, but you can pick one up at any sporting goods store. Football Cleats -the club has received donated cleats in the past -you are welcome to go through them. Donation is $10 a pair or if you put a pair in then take a pair. Practice Jerseys -your old flag football jersey, another jersey, or even a large shirt would work-it needs to fit over the shoulder pads.
