Once again the wrestling season is upon us. The Sidney Wrestling Club Board would like to welcome you to the 2019-2020 season. The Sidney Wrestling club operates on two things: COOPERATION and HARD WORK, from parents, wrestlers, coaches and anyone else willing to put in the extra hours working on committees and details. Without these people and their hard work this program would not be successful. Registration Fees: must be paid before a wrestler or coach is allowed on the mat. SORRY, ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!! The fees cover insurance, NO ONE will be allowed on the mat until they are paid and there will be no exceptions. These fees also go toward paying Association cards and tournament fees. If your wrestler attends all of the tournaments offered, the registration fee does not come close to covering the cost of these items. It is for this reason that our club does fundraisers to help with expenses. This year each family will be required to sell a minimum of 20 raffle tickets to help with expenses. This will help keep the registration cost low. There are also many fun fundraising events that our club is involved with and we ask that you help on as many of them as you can.
We are excited to announce that practice will be held at the Richland County Event Center for practice groups 1 & 2. Practice 3 will be at the high school. All practices are Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday unless otherwise specified by the Coaches. See calendar for Practice times!
PLEASE LEAVE ALL WET/MUDDY BOOTS OR SHOES IN THE HALLWAY BEFORE YOU ENTER THE WRESTLING MATS. Again – NO STREET SHOES on the mats!! Wrestling shoes or a second clean pair of tennis shoes should be carried into practice – do not wear your wrestling shoes outside. This room has no bleachers and space is limited. Wrestlers are asked not to bring brothers, sisters, or friend to practice unless accompanied by a responsible adult. New and used shoes and singlets will be sold at practice. For practice please wear a t-shirt with your name on it if it is possible and short or sweatpants.
Parents - PLEASE DO NOT DROP YOUR CHILD OFF MORE THAN 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR PRACTICE!
We have set the practice times so we do not conflict with coaches schedules! Example: If you practice is at 6pm - no earlier than 5:45! Thank you!
Coaches have kept sports alive in 2020. Has your kid's coach helped them through this crisis?Nominate them for a chance to win $2500!
